StratITech is run by Reuben Conroy, an IT leader based in Falkirk. Reuben has spent his career running technology for nationwide, multi-site organisations: the kind with hundreds of locations, thousands of staff, and zero tolerance for downtime.
Working at that scale teaches you two things quickly. First, technology only matters if it helps the business. Nobody cares how clever the setup is if the tills stop working or the email goes down. Second, almost every IT disaster is cheaper to prevent than to fix. The difference between a calm IT operation and a chaotic one is rarely budget. It’s planning.
Most small and medium businesses can’t justify a full-time IT director, but they face exactly the same decisions: what to buy, what to protect, what to automate, and what to stop paying for.
