The towers and cables of the Forth Road Bridge and Queensferry Crossing

StratITech is run by Reuben Conroy, an IT leader based in Falkirk. Reuben has spent his career running technology for nationwide, multi-site organisations: the kind with hundreds of locations, thousands of staff, and zero tolerance for downtime.

Working at that scale teaches you two things quickly. First, technology only matters if it helps the business. Nobody cares how clever the setup is if the tills stop working or the email goes down. Second, almost every IT disaster is cheaper to prevent than to fix. The difference between a calm IT operation and a chaotic one is rarely budget. It’s planning.

Most small and medium businesses can’t justify a full-time IT director, but they face exactly the same decisions: what to buy, what to protect, what to automate, and what to stop paying for. StratITech exists to bring that level of thinking within reach, without the salary, the jargon, or the lock-in.

Too many smaller businesses get sold kit they don’t need, or spend their days firefighting problems that should never have happened. Good IT isn’t complicated. It’s just planned. That’s the whole promise: calm, capable IT.

How we work

What you can expect

Plain English, always

You should never need a translator for your own IT. Every recommendation comes with the why, in words that make sense.

Causes, not symptoms

Anyone can restart a server. We work out why it fell over, fix that, and make sure it stays fixed.

Honest recommendations

We only suggest what we’d buy ourselves. If the cheapest option is the right one, that’s the one you’ll hear about.

Enterprise discipline, SME-sized

The planning, security, and standards big organisations rely on, scaled to fit your business and your budget.
